Jakarta’s Sedayu Indo course repeats the same, including the gentle sea breezes that keep temperatures reasonable among the links holes.

This Nicklaus Design creation adorns an island reclaimed from the Java Sea. To hold back the ocean, a dyke wall forms the island’s perimeter. This artificial feature is disguised with wild dunes, and the architects extended that ‘links’ feel to the course.

Paspalum Supreme grass is used on fairways, tees, and grees, and while slow compared to Bermuda greens, it keeps hitting surfaces stable year in and year out.

Unique in Indonesia, Sedayu Indo Golf comprises holes with links characteristics, while other holes play more like a traditional parkland course.

The best links holes make their way around the island and have views of the Java Sea. Pot bunkers dot the fairways and landing areas. Native grasses add to the challenge of being off the fairway. The bunker complexes here are unique and add to the challenges. Par or bogey n these holes is considered good.

The interior Parkland Holes also offers a challenge but at a more friendly level. Traditional golfers will enjoy these holes over the links area.
