A spectacular golf course in the South West

Capel Golf Club

Capel Golf Club is home to one of the finest examples of golf in regional Western Australia, featuring a picturesque 18-hole golf course and a new floodlit 10-bay undercover driving range. Capel GC is a member’s course with weekly competitions that welcomes green fee players and golf groups. The club is the Gateway to Golf in the South-West, located in the Geographe Wine Region just a 10-minute drive south of Bunbury.

The course was originally designed by Murray Dawson in the early 1960s as a 9-hole sand green course and later upgraded to an 18-hole grass green championship facility. It offers a challenge to golfers of all abilities, with narrow tree-lined fairways, raised greens, and strategic bunkering.

With lush couch fairways and carpet-like Bent grass greens, lined by Jarrah, Tuart, Banksia, and Peppermint eucalypt trees, the course invariably looks stunning, populated by a strong kangaroo colony and native birds.

But don’t drop your guard in these picturesque surroundings, as a thorough examination of your golf game awaits, requiring your full attention.
